Our Review

P&G has a 44-year-old Supplier Diversity Program. Over the past 12 years, P&G has spent more than $2 billion dollars annually with minority, women, LGBTQ+, Veteran &  Disability-owned businesses. This commitment helped P&G earn a seat at the exclusive Billion Dollar Roundtable.

After starting the supplier diversity program in 1976, a tier 2 program was added two decades later. P&G encourages and helps prime suppliers to include diverse suppliers in their own supply chain and then report their spend back to P&G.

In the past 4 decades P&G gained exponential value from its supplier diversity program and observed that “ a diverse supply network will out-think, out-innovate, and out–perform a non-diverse supply network.” They went on to say that diverse suppliers are more agile, responsive, innovative amongst other impactful qualities.

One thing that P&G supplier diversity portals do not get into are details pertaining to educational, networking, and mentorship initiatives which are used in the company’s efforts to economically empower diverse suppliers.
