Our Review

Established in 2013, the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) may be a new player in the supplier diversity arena but its work has brought about significant change to veteran and service disabled-owned businesses across America.  The council certifies veteran owned businesses of all sizes.

The council keeps a database of all certified members which it shares with its growing list of corporate partners. NVBDC hosts events to bring together major corporations and certified Veteran Owned Businesses. Its eMakertplace is a portal that matches businesses with corporate procurement needs, enabling transactions to be initiated and executed through the portal.

NVBDC uses a rigorous verification process in order to avail its corporate members contract ready service disabled  and veteran-owned businesses.  This process seems to be working well as more and corporate members looking to work with vets continue to join NVBDC annually.

NGLCC Says:

“NVBDC certification is reliable, repeatable and rigorous which means it can withstand external scrutiny.  Our certification provides the opportunities for SD/VOBs to access supplier diversity managers who have demanded a reliable means of determining the status of a SD/VOB business”
