Our Review

The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council was founded in 1997 and is the largest third-party certifier of women-owned businesses. The WBENC certification gives women-owned businesses a chance to compete for opportunities with 1,000 American corporations, brands, cities, and states, all ready to work with women-owned small businesses. 

The council is a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs. It offers tailored solutions that address various issues women face in setting up and running businesses. These include public campaigns to promote women-owned businesses, education programs, and grants. The council has a newly launched platform to help women deal with the devastating effects of Covid-19 on small businesses. 

WBNEC has 14 Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs). These work to assist women-owned businesses earn its certification. Certification is quite affordable, starting at $350 for businesses earning under $1 million.
